Hi, I’m Gayle, a Perth-based traveller who enjoys planning trips that connect multiple cities, with a particular love for winter travel and well paced, multi-destination itineraries.

My family has spent nearly two decades figuring out how to connect multiple destinations into trips that feel ambitious but not overwhelming. We’ve done quick two-city escapes and longer multi-country routes, mostly across Asia. Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia as well as some other desintations. Places where you can realistically move between cities or countries without needing a tour operator to hold your hand.

I started this blog after hearing the same thing again and again from people around me: “I’d love to do a trip like that, but I don’t know where to start.” The logistics can feel intimidating. Which cities pair well, how to get between them, what’s realistic with kids? But once you know how to approach the planning, it’s actually manageable and I’d even go so far as to say, fun!

I’m not someone who maps out every meal or books everything months in advance. I research thoroughly before we go. I want to understand how a place works, what the transport options are, where the interesting neighbourhoods are, but I leave room to figure out the details on the ground. Book the train ticket the day before. Find the restaurant when we’re hungry. That kind of thing.
