We’re a family of three who believe that travel doesn’t have to stop once you have kids — though we’ll be the first to admit it looks a little different.

We’ve been piecing together our own DIY itineraries for nearly two decades now, long before Google Maps made it easy (and back when travel blogs were mostly pixelated photos and dodgy forums). Over the years, we’ve gotten pretty good at planning holidays that actually work in real life — not just on paper.

The kind of trips that balance must-see sights with space to explore.
That fit into real-world school holidays, tight timeframes, and sometimes tight budgets.
That mix street food and night markets with the occasional splurge on something special.
That feel exciting for everyone, not just the kids — but also not only for the adults.

We’ve snowboarded together down powdery Japanese slopes, sipped tea in a Taiwanese tea house, squeezed into crowded funiculars in Penang, and worked our way through more than a few public meltdown moments along the way. And through it all, we’ve found that the best trips are the ones where the plan gives you freedom — where you know how to get from A to B, but there’s still room for the unexpected.

Why This Blog Exists

I love the travel planning stage almost as much as the travel itself. I’m the one with far too many browser tabs open, deep-diving into maps, train schedules, reviews, and every single hotel photo before we book.

This blog is a space to share what we’ve learned along the way: the practical tips, the real logistics, the things we wish we’d known before we arrived. It’s here to help make your planning easier — and your trip better.
